DAF and TRP camera systems — better visibility and safer manoeuvring

DAF has updated its entire range of camera systems and associated accessories to even better meet the expectations of our customers. 

Front view systems

The European directive EC*2003/97*2005/27 states that the area directly in front of the cab must be fully visible to the driver at speeds between 0–30 km/h. Installing a homologated front view system is permitted as an alternative to the standard non-aerodynamic front mirror. With this system, the legally specified field of vision is always in view and weather conditions do not affect visibility. In addition, the field of vision is greater than with the standard mirror, enabling the driver to spot people and objects sooner. 

The plug and play monitor for the DA specific front view systems fits perfectly into the dashboard of DAF trucks with a DDIN slot. In addition, TRP front view systems can be fitted in any all makes truck application and a range of accessories is available for easy installation.

Rear view systems

The front view systems can be expanded to use a total of four cameras, including a rear view camera. This rear view camera is activated as soon as the reverse gear is selectedand provides an excellent view of the area behind the vehicle. The cameras are equipped with a safety ticker, zoning and fisheye correction, helping the driver to make the right judgements during manoeuvres. 

In addition to expanding the front view system, there are other options for installing a rear view system in your vehicle. TRP now offers a competitively priced economy rear view camera kit!

Another easy option is to expand existing navigation screens in the cab by adding a TRP rear view system. This is a straightforward process as TRP rear view cameras are fitted with a range of integrated functions. TRP offers easy-to-install additional options for the DAF Truck Navigation Radio (TNR) and Truckmate, Pioneer and Kenwood navigation systems.
